Sarah Biontino

Sarah is a French-qualified lawyer and worked for over six years in the European Commission's DG Competition, where she was involved in investigating and processing cases. She founded Sarah Biontino Consultants in 2005 and it is the only boutique competition Public Affairs consultancy in Brussels. She was also a Partner at Avisa Partners and Director of Blueprint’s competition practice and before that, Sarah created and then headed the EU Public Affairs team at law firm Allen & Overy in Brussels. Sarah’s mother tongues are English and French and she is fluent in Russian and German.

Veronique Chappelart

Véronique studied European law at University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and European Competition law at King's College in London. After working in a Paris law firm, she joined the French Secrétariat Général for European Affairs (SGAE), then the Ministry of Justice and after that took up a contract at the European Commission in TAXUD. Before working at Sarah Biontino Consultants, she was an expert for the European and Economic Social Committee on EU institutional and legal matters. She has been a Lecturer at the European Centre for Judges and Lawyers and is currently teaching EU law at University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, the University of Nancy and the University of Luxembourg.

Alfonso Ricciardelli

Alfonso studied law at  “Federico II” University in Naples, Italy. In 2007 he practiced administrative law in Naples, mostly dealing with public bidding and healthcare issues. He then began a traineeship at the Studio Grande Stevens, an established Italian corporate law firm, focusing on M & A, banking law and private equity. He subsequently obtained a Master’s degree in European Legal Studies at the College of Europe, where he studied competition law and regulation. His mother tongue is Italian. He also speaks fluent English and French.

Ana Perdigao

Ana studied Law at the Università Cattolica of Milano in Italy. She then began working as support legal at the Walt Disney Company, Italy. After that she obtained a Master in European and International law at the University of Robert Schumann and a LLM in European Litigation at the University of Luxembourg. She did an internship at the European Court of Justice in Luxembourg in the cabinet of the Portuguese Judge. Then she obtained a Master in European Legal Studies at the College of Europe, where she was student representative of the law department. She worked in the competition department of Darrois Villey Maillot Brochier in 2009 and Ashurt Paris in 2010. Ana’s mother tongues are Portuguese, French and Italian, she is fluent in English and has a good level of Spanish as well.

Gerardo Proano

Gerardo first studied engineering in Colombia before studying an working in the US in Atlanta. He then came to Belgium to continue his education in economics and management, first at St Louis and then at the Solvay Business School. Gerardo joined Sarah Biontino Consultants in 2007 as Office Manager. His mother tongue is Spanish but he also speaks English, French and Dutch fluently.
